Step 2: Complete the Nomination Form: Once you have identified the award category that resonates with your achievements, proceed to fill out the nomination form. This form serves as a pivotal tool to capture essential details about your contributions, experiences, and the impact you have made within the BRICS nations.
Step 3: Showcase Your Achievements: In addition to the nomination form, candidates are encouraged to submit a compelling case study, white paper, or a 3-5 minute video that vividly highlights their key achievements. Eligibility Criteria:
BARA warmly welcomes a diverse spectrum of individuals and entities that have played pivotal roles in shaping the BRICS landscape. To be eligible for nomination, candidates must have made a significant impact in any of the following ways within any of the BRICS nations, including India:
(i) Political and Diplomatic Leadership: Organizations and individuals that have exerted influence on political and diplomatic leadership within any of the BRICS nations are eligible for recognition.
(ii) Science, Technology, and Innovation Partnerships: Contributions in the field of science, technology, and innovation partnerships that have significantly advanced the capabilities of BRICS nations are eligible for nomination.
(iii) Social and Cultural Exchange: Those who have actively promoted understanding and collaboration among BRICS nations or within any individual BRICS nation, including India, through social and cultural exchange initiatives.
(iv) Sustainability and Environmental Projects: Organizations and individuals actively engaged in sustainability and environmental projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are eligible for consideration.
(v) Outstanding Leadership, Innovation, and Sustainability Initiatives: Individuals who have exhibited exceptional qualities in leadership, innovation, and the promotion of sustainability initiatives within any of the BRICS nations.
Other required criteria and Submission Format:
To further clarify the nomination process, it is imperative to understand the criteria and submission format for each category:
(i) Projects, initiatives, or practices must align clearly with one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
(ii) The entity (company) must be registered in India or any of the BRICS member nations.
(iii) The project or initiative must have commenced at least two years prior (on or before April 1, 2021) with financial investments in the project for the current year (from April 1, 2023, onwards) as a mandatory requirement.
Submissions are encouraged to include an assessment report, either internal or external.
(iv) Each submission should pertain to a single project, initiative, or practice (previously submitted projects will not be considered).
(v) Organizations are free to submit projects implemented internally or in collaboration with other organizations, with all relevant details of partnerships provided, including cost-sharing details.
Notably, internships are specifically excluded from consideration for academic institutions.
